General Manager – Simon Cleary

Simon started life working for barristers and studying for a law degree. Then he discovered life as a nightclub DJ was more fun and gave up the law, his mother has never forgiven him! After DJing Simon ran some huge music events with BBC Radio 1 before entering the world of nightclub management. After running several successful clubs Simon has landed in Hanley, he’s not sure how it happened but he’s loving every minute of it!

Operations Manager – Dan Carey

Dan has been in the nightclub business for more years than he can remember, in fact he can’t remember. Being the son of a one legged Polish tap dancer Dan comes from a long line of people in the entertainment industry. Dan drives a Citroen Saxo and used to have Sat Nav but Simon nicked it.

Operations Manager – Tristan Walsh

Tristan is a bit of an enigma, which is fitting really as it was the german machine for making codes during the war and he is of Germanic stock! Tristan has an interesting collection of ties and knows everything about selling beer, which let’s face it, is a good skill to have in a nightclub

Senior Crew Leader - Ben Gallagher

Ben wears glasses and judging by some of his suits he may need new ones. Ben fancies himself as a ladies man, but sssshhhh, don’t tell his girlfriend!

The Hobbits

After reaching the giddy heights of starring in Peter Jackson’s 3 Oscar winning films and touring the world and middle earth, the Hobbits are now gainfully employed as glass collectors here at Hanley. Their work ethic is amazing and they do a fabulous job of keeping this venue clean and tidy.
